About the saree: Tilottama means the being whose smallest particle is the finest. ‘Til” is sesame seed, which represents the smallest unit and ‘Tilottama’ is created by choosing the best qualities bit by bit. Our ‘City of Joy’ was created in this same manner over the past few centuries. She is the queen and the mesmerizing architectures are the diamonds in her crown. Slowly but gradually her diamonds are getting lost. We have used both screen and block printing methods to depict the contrast of a bygone era and the harshness of present reality.
