About the saree: Chitrangada, A hand block printed saree crafted on unbleached pure hand-woven cotton is a tribute to the warrior spirit of every woman. We borrowed the lines and the name from Tagore’s dance-drama “Chitrangada” which is the story of the warrior princess of Manipur. In each woman lies a warrior. The lines printed on the borders simply mean “I am neither a goddess, nor an insignificant woman” and imply that everyone deserves to be respected just for being who they really are.
